“Interesting story about a group of people who want to return a tsar to Russia. They, of course, want a descendant of the Romanovs, and eventually it all works out.”Julie B wrote this review Tuesday, September 3, 2013. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

“Historical fiction centered around the murder of the Russian tsar and his family in 1918. The main character Miles Lord, a lawyer from South Carolina, is assigned to the Tsar Commision investigating any possible living heirs to the throne. Lord's discoveries put his life, and the lives of others, in danger. - JP”SCPL AV Dept wrote this review Saturday, November 17, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“We have visited Vladivostok, Russia several times but did not realize that it serves as such an important port for emigration to California as detailed in this novel.
Steve Berry invents and intriguing riddle and scavenger hunt from Moscow to San Francisco, North Carolina and finally St. Petersburg.”
“Took only a couple pages and I was hooked. Miles Lord is working to help secure the new tsar to the restored Romanov throne. One small discovery though sets Lord on a path in search of the possible true heir along with running for his life across the world. ”BookChic wrote this review Thursday, June 14, 2012. “Great book. I always love that Berry takes some facts and then adds in some fiction to make a great story and then explains it all in at the end. ”Dawn and KiKi wrote this review Monday, May 7, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“Yet another brilliant Steve Berry flick. The outstanding encounter of the tragic slaughter of the last of the Romanov Dynasty, is portrayed with usual Steve Berry excellence. The entire Russia was burning by the civil war between the Red and the White Army. What happened on that particular 17-July-1918 night at Yekaterinburg, is an eternal mystery. As per the recorded history, on that ominous night, Nicholus II, the last tser of the Romanov Dynasty was murdered along with his tserina, Alexandra and their five children. Berry used this back ground and the Prophecy of Rusputin and penned this outstanding page-turner. A must read for all the history lovers.”Indian Knight wrote this review Friday, January 25, 2013.
