Book 3 of the Vampire PI series continues to chronicle the inner turmoil surrounding personal and moral decisions made by Samantha Moon. Sam increases in her knowledge of the "dark arts' which includes use of a medallion, that can possibly be used for good. But will the uncertain outcome of her actions be worth the risks to those involved? We will see in the final book that ends this series!

This book held a little bit more mystery than the previous two which made it a bit more interesting. We learn a little bit more about Rain's vampires. And we grieve with Sam as she faces every parents' worst nightmare. Again, the juxtaposition of the mundane and extraordinary make for a compelling story.

Man oh man!! I was left hanging for dear life at the end of this one. I have to read MOON CHILD, oh wow it's super super good, this series. J.R. Rain is a writer like none that I've read before. Every page is one that keeps you reading to find out what comes next, and it's just all around awesome. I can't find words to describe the talent that is penned into every one of these books. This series rocks! Highly recommend this for vampire and paranormal lovers. A+ 5/5.

This book was very good. Sam, had a very difficult decision to make about her young son. One that may or may not be reverseable, he is dying but she has the ability to save him by making him a vampire. More soon.

Well I like the series. Either the writer is still learning the craft of writing or maybe a ghost writer wrote the books. They need editing and refining, but I do enjoy the story line and will read more.

Still loving this series. Light and fun to read. hate the cliff hangers, though.
