- Mat: Kara's best friend during her life on Earth
- David McGowan: A good-looking, funny, cocky Petty Officer guardian angel, assigned to train Kara.
- Gabriel: Archangel who doesn't like David. They are both constantly trading masked insults.
- Benson: A guardian angel who hates David, and who is hated in return. He holds what happened to Sarah against David because he believes that they had a love affair.
- Mrs. Wilkins: The first person Kara is to save from dying
- Asmodeus: The Demon leader, once an archangel
- Brooke Miller: A guardian angel that was sent on a special "Life Quest" mission with Kara. She dies during the quest.
- Raphael: Female Archangel. She is the "Healer". Comes across as very motherly and kind.
- Uriel: An archangel, the Minister of Ministration and Peace
- Michael: An archangel, the Legion's commander
- Sarah: A guardian angel killed when out with David. Everyone believes that the two of them engaged in a love affair- which is strictly prohibited.
- Mr. Tremblay: A man who faced possible death, another of Kara's first assignments
- Zadkiel: An archangel, very anti-Kara
- Ramiel: An archangel
- Camael: A female archangel who stood up for Kara.
- Urobach: One of Asmodeus's lieutenants
