Chika Shiomi was something I bought because I had coupons to burn. I thought the first one was okay and that’s about as good as this gets. It’s not a bad story but it’s not wowing either. It felt a little off balance. Last time we had equal time between Mei and Yako, the two males who see (but not hear) ghosts, fire and water being their tools to help the spirits move on. Yurara can hear them as well, and has a kick ass more adult self when handling the ghosts. This time Yako is often absent, leaving her with the horny Mei for whom she’s falling in love with a little too obviously for my tastes (then again I’m no romantic). The first story revolves around the popular girl clique who don’t like Yurara because two best looking boys in school, Yako and Mei spend all their time with her. This leaves one of them open to possession by an evil spirit out to kill Yurara who has to save the girl. The manga is entertaining enough but not really worth the cover price, look for this free.
