I think Evanovich is back if my giggles and bursts of laughter are any indication. Stephanie is just returning from Hawaii where she's "abandoned two angry men." The long plane ride is made worse by guy who "was snoring like a bear in a cave." "After several loud passenger comments suggesting...

Another fun installment of Stephanie and gang. I do have to say that I enjoy the sexual tension between Stephanie and Ranger more than the just doing it in a closet routine.

The new bond office is making progress but the bus Vinnie bought in the interim has burned to the ground. Now Connie is looking for another temporary building until the new one is finished.

Stephanie has come home from Hawaii with a picture of some guy she doesn't know and the FBI, fake FBI and crazy people are all after it.

When it says Explosive it means explosive. An accidental marriage, black eyes, and all around suspense. When you go to Hawaii, you think that you are leaving all your troubles behind and then they will just be gone. Well that is exactly opposite of what happens. A psychopath killer named Razzle Dazzle (real name unknown) is looking for a picture key and thinks that Stephanie has it. So he confronts her but they both end up bloody. Then a hair stylist who has a girly gun, tries to get it out of her, nothing is working. But the fake FBI is the ones who is going the slowist in this snail race.

I liked this one better than some of her last ones. She had a better storyline and less bawdy, crassness. I enjoyed this one more in the fact that relationship wise it seemed a little more honest though not exactly sure why. She starts off with her usual rounds with petty criminals, but this time Joyce is one of her skips. She is elated to be able to round her up for jewelry theft. Alas she knows Joyce probably didn't do it, but she also doesn't wish her dead which could happen if she doesn't help.....or so she thinks. I thought it was a good story twist. Poor Vinny has lost another place of business and has to find another place to office in and ends up giving away a ferrari. Who knew the photo she would see briefly would be so important. I thought it was cool that it disguised a software program. Not as predictable and a fun read.

The perfect brain candy to counter the post holiday let down. This one starts with a bang that kept me wondering what the heck happened. The intrepid Stephanie Plum comes back from a vacation in Hawaii and hints that the 2 men in her life interrupted her fun by trying to kill each other. The story unfolds bit by bit so that I eventually figured out what happened. It turns out that Stephanie was the unhappy recipient of a photograph while she was on the plane ride back from Hawaii and this causes all kinds of havoc. Amid the usual job of her trying to catch FTAs (failed to appear) for her cousin Vinnie, she gets involved in a treasure hunt for the photograph. You'll have to read the book to find out why the photo is so important. Along the way, Stephanie and Lula try and eventually succeed to capture a few felons, but not without a lot of help from Ranger, Morelli and a few others. Stephanie gets assaulted a few times, has run-ins with the FBI (real and fake) and drives her poor mother to drink (nothing new here). I enjoyed this quick read and thought the ending was very cute. If you've never read a Stephanie Plum novel, don't start with this one, because you won't know who is who.
