Daniel Grenier's fine color illustrations pair well with this oversized book on penguins, which goes beyond most penguin surveys to discuss some seventeen different types of penguins and their different environments around the world. The history begins with early 18th century sightings and explores how each species has adapted and changed within its environment. Maps, large-sized realistic color drawings, and plenty of easy facts make for an inviting discussion perfect for kids interested in penguins.
