  • Jael: A halfbreed; half human and half demon, a succubus. Daughter of Paul and Astarte Thompson, and niece of Dagon. Her bestfriend is Britt and her love interest is Rob, a skater boy. Hates having to move a lot because of who she is and is trying to face what she truly is and live up to her mother's dreams for her.
  • Father Paul Thompson: Jael's father. A priest who was attracted to a demon, who then fell head over heels for her. When Jael is born and his wife is dead he tries his best to support and raise his daughter as good and safe as he can. Doesn't believe his daughter is old enough to be capable of handling all the demon business, but tries to learn slowly that she can.
  • Brittany Brougher: Jael's best friend. A blonde who's main interest is dating boys. she is Catholic to the core, and thinks homosexuality and witchcraft is a sin, causing a bit of a conflict between her and Jael.
  • Rob McKinley: Jael's love interest. A skater boy who has a lovable charm. Has blonde hair that covers half of his eyes and a goofy grin. Interested in math and science and is really good at it.
  • Dagon: Jael's demon uncle from her mother's side. He was once a God but was betrayed by a demon, Baal. He now works as hell's baker, and the new world forced him to appear like a fish demon, covered in scales and fish odor.
  • Poujean: Paul's friend. An ex-priest who is in the Haitian voodoo religion.
  • Amon: One of a demon (minions)
  • Jack: More than he appears to be.
  • Jack: Mysterious boy with blue eyes who Jael first meets when she goes to the University Book Store looking to replace her history book. Jack shows up suddenly in Jael’s religion class but no one seems to remember him as a student.
  • Father Ralph: A priest who is into the school and priesthood just to help people and not for the religious beliefs. Tries to be approachable to the kids by wearing crazy cartoon belts.
  • Baal: Killed Jael's mother
  • Kazen: Add a description of this character.
  • Samson: Mythical character Samson who god granted great strength
  • Father Aaron: An ally and a friend to Father Paul.
  • Philotanus: Jael's mother who sacrificed her life for her daughter. She was once known as Aphrodite.
  • Francis
  • Asmodeus: A halfbreed just like Jael. His true form is a three headed beast: 1 man, 1 ram, and 1 bull. Destroyed his human half to fit with the other demons but they still hate him.
  • Marie
  • Ms. Spielman: Geometry teacher at Our Lady of Mercy High School. Has some sort of secret, maybe we will find out IF there is a second book.
