“Love this author, she's a great young adult mystery novelist. I recall her being very popular in high school. Although she gets a bit predictable in her books and they're all somewhat similar, they're still worth a read.

“ Joan Lowery Nixon a creative writer and master mind. She has a wonderful gift of writing mysteries. In the book Don't Scream she losses you with the characters and all the stuff that is going as you get towards the end the puzzle that she created in you head is now starting to fit together. If you like mysteries and you like logic puzzles then you know that this is a book for you.
Galveston Bay where our story take place. Where the birds fly over the bay signing their song. The smell of the beach keeps the students outside their houses. As they walk to their house thought the forest they pass by the large rock they remember their childhood memories. We get to a street this is where Jess's lives. Across the street we see a house with a for sale sign in the yard. Next door we meet Mr. Chamberlin. A few blocks away is the school were she goes to and a few more block is the city hospital.
Jess is a Junior in high school. With her friend Lori. They have BFFs forever. On their first day back to school they meet two new students. Mark and Scott. Mark moved in to the house for sale across the street and Scott moved into an apartment. Even though they all seem nice on the outside on the inside they all have secrets. One is a murderer, an other not allowed to see a cemetery, also one is not telling the truth and lastly one is very crazy for mysteries. But which one is which?
In this book a murder is move into a random city with their aunt and uncle. This is so than no one know about the murderer. Galveston Bay was the unfortunate town that this killer got assigned to. The sweet Jess has an idea that nobody saw coming. She wanted to help the kids that don't have much love in their lives in the hospital with little thing like reading to them. Nobody knows who is killing the cats in the neighborhood but Jess has been watching the neighbors house closely and seeing weird objects moving a round. The only clue that she knows, is that her cat's killing and Mr. Chamberlin's are related because of an open tuna can over by where the cats were killed.
Jess had to do a research project on a person for journalism class. She found out that one of her friends was not telling the truth and was keeping a different identity. But she knew that they were not lying for a bad purpose.
As she was walking in the forest she saw two graves one for both cats. She ran back and was threaten to stay calm and not to tell anyone that they were a killer to the world. But this secret could kill her and two others? Who is the murderer? And who killed the cat? I you want to know read Don't Scream by Joan Lowering Nixon.”
