Historical Romance. En route to Burma to marry Maximillian Burke, Earl of Dravenwood, Clarinda Cardew's ship is seized by pirates. Abducted by the scurvy sea dogs and transported to Morocco, she's sold into a sultan's harem, prompting the distraught earl to hire his mercenary brother, Captain Ashton Burke, to rescue his kidnapped fiancée. What the earl doesn't realize is that, thanks to Ashton and Clarinda's longstanding mutual infatuation, her virtue may be in more danger from her rescuer than from her captor.
