Liked It“Reviewed by Jennifer Rummel for TeensReadToo.com |
Didn’t Like It“I had high hopes for this book. It was really good in the first half and I liked the characters but the second half got extremely confusing as she threw too much at the reader. The ending was highly disappointing but apparently there will be a second book.” see full review » see other reviews » |

I was extremely dissapointed. 3/4 of the book could have been condensed to one 1/4. The ending should have been expanded. The characters were bizzare, and I don't think of them bizzare because of them being inhuman. It was the dialogue and acvtivities that they participated in. Not ALL teenagers do dust, flash their boobs as sign of flirtation, and f,sdnfkldfos. SCREW THIS BOOK. I wanted to throw it across the wall, but I had to finish it for a project in my Creative Writing class.”

Three teens, Ondine, Morgan, and Nix, find themselves alone in the world -- and a party thrown in the absence of Ondine's parents changes their lives.
They come into contact with Moth, who crashes the party with the purpose of bringing the three together and to a mystery party held later in the summer.
The mystery party is held in the middle of the woods. There they learn the truth about themselves and about the special powers that they've been noticing.
Unfortunately, someone else makes it his mission to turn the friends against each other. His task becomes easier with a rift already between the girls. Will they figure out their powers and reconcile before it's too late?
Tara Bray Smith enters the writing world with a bang and spins a good beginning of a supernatural tale which will leave readers thinking about the book long after they've finished it.

You would think the editor would know where to trim! I seriously thought this book was a pointless waste of my life. And no, I did not stop half way through, I finished it and I still hate it.”

Another wakes up in her trailerpark with dirt and more under her fingernails, and finds herself sleepwalking. Another sees paintings come alive. Will these haunted teens figure out what the supernatural force is trying to do?”
