  • Bid: Invitation to join a sorority.
  • Big Sister: Sorority member who serves as a mentor to a new member.
  • Little Sister: Is a new sorority member.
  • House Mom: A woman hired by the sorority to manage the house . Lives in a private apartment in the sorority house.
  • Pledge: A new member who has accepted a bid but has not be initiated yet.
  • Pledgemaster: One of the Sisters in charge of preparing the new members for initiation.
