“This book was read in an afternoon, but it shall stay with me much longer in my memory. It's the story of four friends coming of age, knee deep in books and dreams of girls and sex. It's about the events that transpired in the past as much as it is many years down the road. The themes of time, memory, sex and death all tie together at the end in a rather unexpected twist. I loved the haunting construction of the story, the sensuality of the language, the imagery and the challenging way that the writing/syntax kept me on my toes. All in all, it is a rather bittersweet book but definitely one worth exploring!”
