  • Charlotte (Charley) Davidson: Part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper. Known as Dutch to Reyes. Also consults with the Albuquerque Police Department.
  • Reyes Alexander Farrow: The son of Satan; a gorgeous man who protects Charley. Real name is Rey'aziel which means 'the beautiful one'. Charley used to refer to him as 'the Big Bad'.
  • Rocket: A ghost, he is a good friend of Charley's; while he'd been alive, he could see the dead. Lives in abandoned mental asylum. Knows the names of every person who has ever lived. Knows if someone is alive or dead.
  • Cookie: Charlotte's best friend and neighbour. Also works as Charley's receptionist.
  • Garrett Swopes: Bond enforcement agent, a skip tracer. Often works for Charley's uncle protecting her.
  • Nathan Yost: Doctor. Hires Charley when his wife, Teresa, goes missing.
  • Teresa Yost: Wife of Dr. Nathan Yost.
  • Mr. Wong: Ghost who lives in Charley's apartment.
  • Amber: Cookie's 12 year old daughter.
  • Neil Gossett: Charley's high school classmate. Deputy warden at prison where Reyes is incarcerated.
  • Gemma: Charley's sister. A psychiatrist.
  • Leland Davidson: Charley's father. Retired police detective turned cop bar owner.
  • Angel: Ghost of a 13 year old gang banger who now works with Charley.
  • Luther Dean: Brother of Teresa Yost.
  • Sister Mary Elizabeth: AKA Mistress Marigold. A nun. Can hear angels. Runs web site about angels and demons.
  • Robert (Bob) Davidson: 'Ubie'. Charley's uncle. Police detective with Albuquerque Police Department who uses Charley's gifts for work when he sees fit.
  • Agent Carson: FBI agent assigned to Yost missing person case.
  • Yolanda Pope: High school friend of Gemma. Former girlfriend of Nathan Yost.
  • Amador Sanchez: Reye's best friend and former cell-mate.
  • Bianca Sanchez: Amador's wife.
  • Ashlee Sanchez: Amador & Bianca's daughter. "in love" with Reyes.
  • Stephen Sanchez: Amador & Bianca's son.
  • Owen Vaughn: Charley's high school class-mate. For reason unknown, tried to run her down with his father's SUV.
  • Monica Dean: Teresa Yost's sister.
  • Kim Millar: Reyes' sister.
  • Earl Walker: Reyes' step-father. Reyes is in prison for his murder.
  • Jillian: One of Nathan Yost's assistants.
