Good story, it was the last of the series, Relic was the first, I missed all the in-betweens!

Read first - didn't realize it was a trilogy (3rd book). Didn't feel completely lost but sometimes there were references to things that happened in previous books - wasn't a huge deal though. Very creepy at times - easy entertaining read.

I didn't read any of the other Agent Pendergast novels. In fact, at the time I didn't realize this book was part of a series. But I still understood it, and loved it!

A nice addition to the Pendergast series, however I do have one gripe. I hate stupid mistakes & the authors commit one when they have a main character responding "Over and out" via radio. A simple fact check would show NO ONE uses this phrase except in badly written prose. Fix it.

Thrilling and exciting, one of my favorites-- doesn't hurt that there's a little bit of Egyptology thrown in there! And Norah Kelly, what a fantastic heroine!

    #SPOILER ALERT!#
Okay, so I said I was going to read them in chronological order and I did except I didn't mean the non-Pendergast ones. And what happens? This has Nora Kelly who was the star of Thunderhead which also featured Smithback. Now I knew that they both survived the book and that eventually they'de fall in love. Damn! Thunderhead was still an enjoyable read.
