I can see why this was made into a movie for which I look forward to seeing some day. This is one of those books that I couldn't put down. Especially the last 100 pages. Characters are great and you are on the edge of your seat wondering and hoping that this is all going to turn out. Haller is a defense attorney who discovers that his previous client actually was innocent and his new client -- well not so much and the two clients intersect. ”

The case turns upside down on him when he finds his client is not who he seems to be.”

He is hired by Louis Roulet to defend him when he is accused of attempting to rape and murder a woman. I really liked how the book went into how Mickey performed his job as a defense lawyer and all of his smaller cases. A good twisty book.”
