By far one of my favorite Connelly novels and perhaps one of my all-time favorite legal suspense thrillers. I can see why this was made into a movie for which I look forward to seeing some day. This is one of those books that I couldn't put down. Especially the last 100 pages. And, no matter how...

This is probably the best lawyer book ever written - if you like lawyer books. I liked it, but I thought the ending was pretty weak...

Good fun read. Nicely developed characters, and a good plot filled with suspense and many clues. What more do you need?

I read this book awhile back but now I'm following up and reading the series. I saw the movie which helped to bring the story line back to me. It is pretty interesting and entertaining read.

Tight, well crafted book. Characters are great and you are on the edge of your seat wondering and hoping that this is all going to turn out. Haller is a defense attorney who discovers that his previous client actually was innocent and his new client -- well not so much and the two clients intersect.

A book which really interested me as it was about a lawyer who was investigating/fighting a case in court. The case turns upside down on him when he finds his client is not who he seems to be.

Haven't found a Connelly book I don't like, and this one was no different.

Mickey Haller is a defense lawyer working in Los Angeles. He is hired by Louis Roulet to defend him when he is accused of attempting to rape and murder a woman. I really liked how the book went into how Mickey performed his job as a defense lawyer and all of his smaller cases. A good twisty book.
