  • Maxine: Maxine is obsessed with a game called, "Mighty Zola". She started skipping school to play at the arcade because her parents didn't care; all they cared about was her older brother who had went missing a while ago. During the story, she gets mysterious calls and clues to finding out whether her brother is dead or not. A boy named Cam, who is two years older than her, helps her to find out where her brother is. He is very clever and smart; during the story Maxie, or Maxie as her brother calls her, forms a small crush for him. Is her brother Derek the one who's been sending her these clues, or is it that mean bully, Sweeney just setting her up? But if it is him, than who's dead body is down there in his grave?
