Characters/People edit see section history

  • Kyle Reed: Main honcho in the story. He's 36, was born in Boston and his father's a big-time senator from Mass. Republican. I don't think Kyle votes, though. I have to ask him. He's an artist, architect, sculptor. Perfectionist, quiet. Nice-looking, although he could take better care of himself. If you're not into art, he would still be an interesting friend to have. Quiet, smart, observant, deep-thinker. Smokes cigarettes, but no one's perfect, right? :) He can play the piano, so that makes up for the smoking.
  • Troy: Kyle's younger brother. He's around 28, cute as sin, smart, loving, has his own little secrets. He's loyal and supportive and would be the kind of friend you'd tell everything to. My favorite person in the book, and not just 'cause I made him up.
  • Jim: Kyle's manager. He eats too much and worries more than he eats, and I have a feeling he thinks, way in the back of his head, that Kyle is the younger brother/son he never had. Maybe not. He kind of comes across that way to me, but you let me know when you meet him.
  • Stuart: Ah...Stuart...what can I say? Not much; you have to meet him and let me know. He's Kyle's older brother, also a politician. 'Nough said.
  • Brandon: Kyle, Stuart and Troy's Dad. Family patriarch, tough old bird. You know the kind.
  • Corinne Fletcher: Can't say much about her. She doesn't tell me much - quiet one, Corinne.
  • Norma: Kyle, Stuart and Troy's Mom.
  • Jeannie: One of my favorite characters; I molded her after my own niece. They're both special to me.
  • Amelia Jansen: Read and go figure it out.
  • Ben: He's a great guy, very solidary. You'll meet him in the early pages.
  • Lara: Someone from Kyle's past.
  • Andy: He reminds me a little of Nathan Lane. Just someone you want to smooch and hug.
  • Carol: Mrs. Stuart.
  • David: Ah, can't tell you that.
  • Atkins: Kyle's biggest customer.
  • Harold Fletcher: Can't tell you about this one, either.
  • Kim: Someone from Kyle's past.
  • Erin: Huh. Shelfari found this one? Cool. Go meet her.
  • Shorty: It's a short character. Hence the name. Duh! I love this character. Hope you do too!

Notes for Parents edit see section history

Reading Level: Adults

Profanity. Lots of it. Kyle's a guy, and grew up with two brothers. No amount of good upbringing and money (which he had) can wash his mouth clean. It is what it is; so let's keep this in the hands of consenting adults.
