  “In this fifth book Darren finds himself in front of the vampire princes. They force him to go through five trials of death that are very challenging and extremely life threatening. He almost dies in the battle of the boar but harkat breaks the rules and jumps in and saves his life causing him to flee. The vampire princes are after him and this might be the end of Darren Shan.”

  “Definately my favourite, I enjoyed the plot imensely. The trials are thrilling exceptially the fire trial, I did enjoy Harkatts character in this and Darrens is definately progressing. I loved all the new character and Mr Crepsley is progressing a lot too. I really loved the book loads.”
