An ancient witch appears on the scene, disguised in innocense, to exact revenge on the descendants of her ancestral enemies. Strange phenomenon begin to occur at Hamlin Manor, and witchcraft is suspected. Little do any realize that one man has paid the ultimate price for daring to challenge the witch of all witches. Arising as one of the living dead, the vampire has trustworthy friends, employees of the Hamlins, who will risk everything to help him, but the traditional means of killing a vampire falter at every turn.
When all else seems to fail, Toby O'Grady turns to the village doctor. The first transfusion is attempted. If that should fail, the cursed man of the night has one more trick up his sleeve; if successful, the redeemed man will return to his wooden sarcophagus hidden in the family mausoleum (the family will have never even known of his plight); if unsuccessful, beware the fury of a vampire gone mad!
