Didn’t Like It1 of 1 members found this review helpful“I don't know why McNaught's stories start off bad ans improve as u read on (with the exception of Almost Heaven). I didn't like Clayton at all at first, there was nothing really likable about him! And as for Whitney... no, not my idea of a likable heroine. La Lola was by nature a very fashionable girl, except that she was forced into servitude by her ee-vil (pinky to corner of mouth) stepsisters. She loved nothing better than to read fabulous romance novels, but as you can imagine, there was very little time to do so, as she was made to clean every inch of the house by her stepsisters, while wearing hemp sandals! La Lola was horrified at this great indignity, and would often ask herself, what would Jesus do. (Sheridan Sakura Carlotta, if your answer is that He would wear hemp sandals, well har dee har har.)
La Lola’s wicked stepsisters would torture La Lola by forcing her to read terrible books. Books which had beta heroes and cheating heroes who didn’t grovel and TSTL heroines and annoying pet mascots and heroes hung up over their dead wives and heroines who already have children. La Lola decided that she couldn’t take this inhumane treatment any longer, so she decided to escape. She thought to herself, somewhere out there, must be a book which has an alpha hero and a thrilling plot and lots of heart twinge moments.

“this book is one of the sweetest romances i've read!!! the story line, characters and the setting is so nicely sculptured and Mcnaught has maintained a smoot flow of the plot filled with irony sarcasm and humor....
Way to go McNaught!!!!!”
“For what it is...it's a great trashy romance. ”
