“Since this was McNaught's first novel, I kind of forgive her. It's okay, but not as good as I'd expected from all the reviews. It kind of gave me the feeling that McNaught did not want the story to ever end. Sometimes characters were inconsistent, and there were parts that seemed insignificant to me that she could have turned into, say, a foreshadowing.
