“Well... quite frankly, this is one of those books which turned me off Naipaul. It might be an excess nationalistic spirit in me, but whatever... i found this books irritating at best and ...... nasty at worst.”

“an interesting book.yes, the way naipaul chooses to see india definitely gets my blood pressure up.but he is right in a way.and he never does it without humour.thats what i love about this book.and then there's the incredible personal sadness as a disaporic writer without any roots but with the memory of several ones.....splendid.”
