I bought this novel in 1995 and I was truly drawn into its story. It follows the life of a Turkish princess, the daughter of the last king of the Ottoman Empire. Unfortunately, she is expatried and forced to marry an attractive Indian rajah and she lives a secluded and lonely life. In the middle of the turbulence World War II, she flew and went away to Paris.
