“The Next Always
Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy Book One
By Nora Roberts
Beckett Montgomery has been infatuated with Clare since he was in high school but when Clare came back home widowed and with three children to raise, he couldn’t bring himself to make her life any more complicated. As Beckett and his two brothers work on restoring the historic and haunted inn things also begin to change between Clare and Beckett. Everything seems to be going perfectly until Clare finds herself with unwanted attention from Sam and arrogant and conceited man who won’t take no for an answer.
Nora Roberts introduces us to her newest trilogy surrounding the inn in BoonsBoro, I have read a few of her trilogies before and so far this one is as promising as her others. Nora Roberts did a wonderful job in pulling you in with a wonderful romance then by adding a ghost and a stalker she adds to the fun, leaving you dying to know what happens next. This book was a bit sad for me I am not sure if others will find it this way but as a military wife when Clare goes into details about her husband and how he was killed in the Iraq war while she was pregnant, it is my worst nightmare but in the end it makes the story so beautiful and touching I couldn’t put it down. If you are a military wife you may want to have tissues on hand just in case but this is definitely worth the read.

“I haven't read Nora Roberts for about 30 years but picked this off the library shelf on a whim. I stopped reading her earlier because her gothic fiction books seemed all alike (four children might have had something to do with it as well). This was a better story, I thought, but I was surprised at the sex. Still, I have to admit even the sex was handled with a light hand and a definite sense of humor. I will read the next book.”Rita M wrote this review Saturday, May 19, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

Then I will get this trilogy's second installment " The Last Boyfriend".”Needle Nut Nancy wrote this review Wednesday, June 6, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No
“324 pages; Loved it! Somewhat predictable in its telling, The Next Always was still a very enjoyable read. One I probably could have taken down in one rainy afternoon if I had the opportunity to. It tells the story of Clare, a widow and young mother to three rambunctious boys, who has returned to her hometown to put her life back together. In between running a business and raising her three boys, she begins to fall for Beckett Montgomery, whose family is rebuilding the old inn in town. You can probably guess from there how it ends up, if you've ever read Robers before. The descriptions of the inn were incredible- it made you wish it actually existed so you could stay there! I thought the story with Clare's stalker was a little unnecessary to the plot, but was very Nora Roberts. Overall, a quick and fun read. Looking forward to Book # 2. ”Erin wrote this review Wednesday, May 9, 2012. ( reply | permalink ) Was this review helpful? Yes | No

“Nora Roberts is hit or miss with me but this is certainly a hit. It basically the story of two sets of 3 boys. The three older (and apparently wealthier) ones are restoring an old inn in a small town with the help of their busy body mother. The three younger boys are the sons of a young widow of the war in Iraq. Of course, mom falls in love with one of the older brothers and they all live happily ever after with the help of a friendly ghost. Loved it!”Carol L wrote this review Monday, April 30, 2012.
