  • Ted Kord (Blue Beetle 2): supposedly one of the smartest men in the DC Universe, Kord used science and martial arts to fight crime as the Blue Beetle.
  • Maxwell Lord: International businessman and power broker. Lord gained the ability to control the minds of others, albeit at great difficulty, when a Gene Bomb was exploded by alien invaders activating the latent metagene present in a small percentage of Earthlings.
  • Michael Jon Carter (Booster Gold): a time-traveling super-hero from the 25th Century who uses high-tech equipment to fight crime. His best friend and most regular partner is Blue Beetle.
  • Bruce Wayne (Batman): billionaire industrialist and notorious playboy, as Batman he dresses like a bat who fights against evil and strikes terror into the hearts of criminals everywhere.
  • Clark Kent (Superman): a reporter at the Daily Planet in the city of Metropolis, as Superman he is one of the most powerful superheroes in the DC Universe. His abilities include incredible super-strength, super-speed, invulnerability, freezing breath, flight, and heat-vision.
  • Diana Prince (Wonder Woman): an Amazon warrior princess and one of the most powerful characters in the DC Universe.
  • Sasha Bordeaux: Former bodyguard to Bruce Wayne. Currently serving as a high-ranking officer in Checkmate.
  • Jessica Midnight: a high-ranking agent of Checkmate, recruited Sasha Bordeaux into the organisation.
  • Guy Gardner (Green Lantern): a top member of the Green Lantern Corps, the second one to be chosen from Earth.
  • Beatriz Bonilla da Costa (Fire): a Brazilian super model turned government agent turned superhero after an accident granted her the ability to generate green flames.
  • John Jones (aka J'onn J'onzz, Martian Manhunter): superhero from the planet Mars and the last surviving member of his race.
