While Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has had a facinatiing career and life as the son of wrestler "Soulman" Rocky Johnson, this book was written way to soon. I would have waited until around now to do this book. He's finished with wrestling and is now acting, he's had a child and went through a divorce. It could have been and should have been better. And the fact his match descriptions were all written in the 3rd person go annoying very quickly. It was obvious this book was rushed to capitalize on the Rock's popularity. Low recomendation.

The book the Rock says written by the Rock, was entertaning because it was both strong and weak in the area of content.A strong part in the story was when he got jumped and someone tried to stabb him.One quto he said was o you smell what the rock is cokin was the only part that had weak content. It was weak but it caught everyones attention. Therefore the rock wrote a book that is both strong and flimsy.

Like the content of this book this book was very exciting. In the story the rock said "its one of those moments when your dammed if you dammed if you dont." What he ment by this quote was that whatever he chose to do it was going to have a consequence. He had to make the choice of wrestling or not after his good friend Owen Hart had died in the ring.this quote has strong content because it was a desicion that affected him and the whole company. As mentioned above I was very impressed with the style of this book.

The form of the book was casual and I found this effective. The main reason why this form worked was because it sounded just like the Rock and that is why I liked it.As a result i give this book a good review because the content of this book was different and I looked at that as good thing.

I was not very impressed with this book. I was a fan of the wrestler but the book paled in comparison with Mick Foley's book. I would have liked if they did not switch to his character in the parts of the book. His is an interesting story though.

This novel is narrated by Dwayne Johnson in character as The Rock, something that may deter people looking for plenty of behind-the-scenes anecdotes about the World Wrestling Federation (now World Wrestling Entertainment). After recounting his childhood and college life, The Rock is just telling the storylines from the WWE's Attitude Era more than half the time. If you're a fan of Rocky from back then, which is probably the reason for buying his book, then you already know what happened storyline-wise in the World Wrestling Federation's Attitude Era.
