    *** SPOILERS ***

My least favourite in Death book. I hated the scene in the closet with Roarke and Eve. I couldn't see how that would not have affected their relationship more. I truely believe that would have caused Eve a lot more distress, especially considering her background. The story was pretty weak, and there was too many coincidences that made it unbelievable. I was disappointed, but am glad continued with the series as this was a fluke!

Investigating death on a honeymoon just can't bode well for a marriage.

While off-planet at the still unopened Olympus Resort Eve & Roarke enjoy their time together - even when interrupted to check out a death. Upon returning home Eve realizes that other suicides are happening - but for no apparent reason. These are people that even the profilers would never have anticipated committing suicide. Eve knows there's a connection - now she just has to find it.

I love the In Death series and have read most of the books several times - apparently I've missed this one though. It wasn't her best work. If I didn't just love the characters I'd never have finished. I can say, if you've read the newer books, Eve's personality is much lighter in this book than is usual. Maybe it's from the three weeks of vacationing, who knows? She just laughs and jokes in this book in a way that is not typical of her personality.

I think this book is funny because you get to see another side of Mavis's personality. And watching Eve try to push Nadine away it just humorous. Overall it's a good book but the gaming and technical aspects were really a turn-off for me.

    OTS Eve and Roarke
This was fantastic. Leaves me hungry for more. I love Eve and Roarke. The rivalry between Eve and Sommerset is a riot.

the "In Death" series by JD Robb, about Lieutenant Eve Dallas of the New York Police Department. Set in the future, so things are a lot different. She's a kickass cop that always has some plot twist crime to solve. She has the love of gorgeous rich Irishman named Roarke, that she doesn't believe she deserves.

If you like murder mysteries, you might enjoy this series. I've read almost all of them, I think I'm missing like 7 books still. At times the books have descriptive crime scenes and sexual scenes.

What's interesting too is that this is written by romance author, Nora Roberts, under a pen name, and completely the opposite from the harlequin romance genre.

This series just keeps getting better and better, and RAPTURE IN DEATH is no exception.

Now that Eve Dallas and Roarke are finally married, they're enjoying a much needed vacation/honeymoon. But death seems to find Eve no matter where she is, and a different planet is no exception. When one of Roarke's techs ends up dead, from a supposed suicide, Eve starts to wonder if everyting is exactly what it seems.

And when they return to New York, and more prominent people end up dead by their own hand, Dallas has a hard time convincing those around her that their suicides were actually murder.

You won't go wrong with this series, and watching the interaction between newly wed Eve and Roarke is a wonderful thing. The fact that every mystery of every book is also well-developed and all-too-believable is an added bonus!
