This is the first novel I've read by Ms. Yahrah St. John. I must admit I originally only purchased the book because my daughters name is also Ciara...like the character, so I thought why not. Well I'm glad I did! This book was a page-turner from beginning to end. I enjoyed the well developed characters and the storyline had a smooth flow. The romance between Ciara and Jonathan was full of passion and very intense, from their first meeting. The story had love, betrayal, mystery and let's not forget the politics. I always enjoy a good novel with a plot of love and politics, because it's always a risky combination, but when pulled together properly the risk is well worth it. After reading this novel from Ms. St. John, I have to back-track and read more of her work. And I will definitely pick up some of her future novels. ”
