“My favorite book of this series! I really identified with Caroline as a young teacher from my own experience and felt the characters were recognizable again after the jaunt to Milwaukee. The relationship between Caroline and Charles was well-developed for the length of the book and it's a satisfying end to the series. Left me in the mood to pick up with Little House in Big Woods.”
