Another book I struggled to get through. I didn't even really want to finish it. It didn't strike any chords with me at all.

Ibegan reading this while on vacation just briefly. the beginning reads like poetry very esy to follow but written in a way that has you think about a commitment to a craft to your family

Everyone has a book that because they can so strongly identify with the characters or the circumstances that it is exceptionally special to them on a very personal level. A book that will be read and re-read; the book you buy for your family members. This is mine.

"grace comes from art and art from hard work and hard work is hard to come by". something like that. the idea of surrendering yourself to a craft, god's purpose in the small things. artists living in all aspects of life, without fame or recognition. for the immersion in the thing itself.

I read it for class and could appreciate its writing however the stories in the book didn't appeal to me.
