I bought this book for a group read but also because I wanted to see what Stephen King's son could do with the horror genre. The story is about Judas Coyne, a rock star, who also has an interest in owning bizarre objects. When he is contacted from an auction site similar to e-bay that someone wants to sell her step-grandfather's suit, and the ghost of the step-grandfather comes with the deal, Judas agrees to pay $1000 to the owner and then waits to receive his latest outlandish...

I really liked this book. It was as close to a well-written, Stephen King-like thriller as one could ever hope for. The descriptions weren't over the top...they were right to the point and put you right in the story with the characters. I wouldn't say that the story creeped me out, but I will say I was on the edge of my seat and couldn't put the book down until I was done with it! It wasn't until after I read it that I learned Joe Hill was Stephen King's son.

I would have to say that this book was possibly the best work of Horror for the new century. Joe Hill sets himself apart from his father and brings his own recipe for terror to the table. Joe does not take three hundred pages to introduce a character. He gets to the meat of the story within a few chapters. This book was great.

An entertaining read. Very good visuals throughout. The action gets going pretty quick and I'll admit to being a bit creeped out at times... I love it when that happens!

It was fantastic- left me totally creeped out! A friend was not able to make it all the way through and about a 1/4 of the way through I wasn't sure that I would make it! I loved it though, definitely one that I will buy for myself.
