Recommended for 3rd – 5th Graders (lexile 550)”“This book is a great read aloud. Teachers can use this book to talk to the students about struggle and being supportive of their family. It can also teach about friendships and that people can change.”

“This is a really great book all around. I would probably use it for a read aloud in 4th-8th, since it is a book that is very short and simple to read. I may assign it as a literature study to a student that requires special learning accommodations for reading but not to a grade level 4th-8th student. I would love to use it to tie into a social studies lesson.”
