Here are seven wonderful tales from cultures of Eastern Europe; cultures that were for many years suppressed by the former Soviet Union. Each tale is interesting in its own way. Each reinforced in me the idea that humanity across the wide world is more alike than different. People struggle and work for the same things: joy, happiness, and security. Some people are clever, others not so much; some people are greedy, others are kind. These tales are a welcome addition to the fairy tales and other stories of cultures throughout the world.
