Kay Hooper has became one of my favorite authors, one in which I read everything by. Like all the other books I have read of hers this one didn't dissappoint me. I was up late into the night finishing this book. Jesse's long lost granddaughter Amanda hasn't been to Glory in 20 years. When one day a woman comes back claiming to be Amanda. Most people have there doubts if she is who she says she has. Full of family drama, romance and suspense this book will have you not wanting to put this book down!

A mystery book, laced with romance. I must admit I enjoyed the mystery portion (what there was of it) more than the romance, although I can't say why exactly. Perhaps I wasn't that taken with the main character Amanda or maybe all the "holes" in her story were a bit much for me to get beyond. With such a large estate was at stake, I found it hard to believe that a bit more background investigating wouldn't have taken place. The family's lawyer seems to be extremely doubtful and then 50 pages later, he has fallen in love with her to his own disbelief. Took a bit to get going with any notable suspense. The ending did have an interesting twist to it.
Okay, if you are looking for a quick read.

Wonderful mix of a romance and gothic mystery. Even though it’s written in first person from “Amanda’s” perspective Hooper still has you wondering if she’s really the Amanda.
