This was the best book I read this year. Alexie had me laughing hysterically at times, and looking deep into my heart at other times.

Every time I read this book, I cry. Even though there is no particularly flowery language, Sherman Alexie gets his point across in a way that can reach everyone. He writes in a matter-of-fact way, with funny cartoons to aid him. The main character tells the story in this book, and everything that happens to him, no matter how sad, is told in a way that can still make you laugh. The fact that it's all true makes the story more potent.

This is one of the best Young Adult books I've ever read. I'm a long time Sherman Alexie fan, and his first YA attempt doesn't disappoint. Mandatory of good YA, Alexie doesn't hold back, creating a memorable character readers will want to root for. This is a heart-breaking, but ultimately hopeful, look at life for a teenager on a reservation, and an honest portrayal of how hard it can be to make a change.

I thought that this book was pretty funny. It was very interesting when I saw the pictures. They had good designs. Junior (main character) had many problems in his life. He had a stuttering problem, he had seizures once in a while, and nobody liked him, except his drunk parents, his best friend Rowdy, and his friends that he just made at the school that he transferred to. Overall, it had an okay story line.
