This book does an excellent job at helping youth pastors understand their young people (especially older youth pastors) - depending on how much older than them you are, they don't think like you do.

If you are hesitant about reading a book by Tony Jones, please don't let it turn you off to this book at least. It was written 10 years ago - before many of his shifts that many people are uncomfortable with today.

While this would probably be a decent read for your kids, I'd encourage you to read it whether or not you are involved in youth ministry at all (because all parents are in reality).
