This was a complex concept and plot, told from three perspectives about a teenaged girl who was abducted (supposedly) for two weeks, and when she returns home is torn apart by her mother's and family's distance, ostracized from her school and town, and analyized by two therapists who may have had their own interests and ambitions in mind more than hers. Now, as an adult, she seems a cold and disconnected person, far less powerful than she was as an imaginative, intelligent and highly manipulative teenager. The mystery of her abduction is never clearly solved - the reader has to draw their own conclusion from the events which are doled out in bits and pieces in a somewhat confusing, non linear format. While I quite enjoyed the concept and thought put into this novel, the coldness and distance o the characters made me really not care about them.
