“Interesting story idea, but I didn't like the open ending. Yes it is more true to life in that we as an observer wouldn't know what really happened, but I like my books to have some sort of definitive conclusion. Or, if not a solid conclusion, at least a clue as to which way we should lean. Also, I though the complete 180 of Mary's character was a bit strange. For such a forward, daring girl, she sure made for a meek adult.”
