Sounds like Jane but very much old English erotica when you read the detailed accounts of connubial intimacies between Darcy & Elizabeth.” see full review » see other reviews » |
“I didn't like this book at all. I felt that the characters were all wrong, it didn't even feel like Darcy and Elizabeth to me. Also the flow of the story was very sluggish and I quickly found myself bored.”

The book has some character building parts so that those characters that aren't that emphasized in the Pride and Prejudice novel gets some lime light in some chapters. This novel is quite the love story you'll only read rarely and when it comes to Pride and Prejudice it is really quite a good perspective. The mature theme and parts is balanced by the french words or description used that makes it sometimes funny and controlled.
A very scandalous sequel of Jane Austen's novel but I still love it!
Pride and Prejudice fans should read this! Who knew wearing only boots is sexy for a guy?”
“Absolutely WONDERFUL WONDERFUL! Linda Berdoll's first sequel to P&P took me a little by surprise, as erotic as it was, and many Austen purists were offended by its blatant sexuality, but I love the idea of the romantic conventions of courtship blossoming into unadulterated physical and emotional happiness. berdoll fleshes these characters out so completely within the confines of the world she has made for them that no detail is left wanting. It's a joy to read for someone as unapologetically romantic and heroics-loving as me. ”

I don't want to hear anymore about Darcy's burning loins!! Jane Austen would be ashamed to have her characters associated with this poor attempt to continue her story!! I am all for Darcy and Elizabeth having an active sex life. Just keep the door closed for goodness sake!!!”
