This is a retelling of the classic Bluebeard fairytale, written by the original French author of classics such as Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. This is the tale of 3 sisters who follow their father to a religious compound led by the enigmatic Elias Fitcher who has foretold the end of the world is coming. But he needs a bride. He chooses the eldest daughter to wed. But things aren't always as they seem. What happens when Fitcher leaves town and entrusts the keys to the manor to his wife, instructing her not to open the door whose lock a glass key opens? And what is the secret of the mysterious marble egg that Fitcher requires his bride to carry with her at all times? And what about mysterious disappearances and unexplained deaths arising around the so-called holy compound? Something is not as it seems, and it is up to the sisters to find out what. Not for the squeamish, but a very nicely written reworking of this tale, where curiosity may be your undoing.”
“The story of Bluebeard and his bloody brides is spinetingling enough as a children's classic--written for adults it's more like a nightmare.”
