All the issues facing a young woman today confront Hope in Medieval England. How dare her uncle rule her life and force her to marry his son, twenty years her senior, and ignore the claims of handsome Robert, the Earl's son? Robert would never selfishly take her virginity, using women like his father. But when the Earl's favored friend burns Hope's home and kidnaps her uncle and mother, no one will believe she witnessed his treachery. Does she dare trust a strange knight with a dark past and unexplained weaknesses and a savage, foreign companion, even if he is the only person who will help her? Running for her life from the plots of Hugo Brun de March, Hope is suprised to find herself falling in love with the stoic but fervently godly Sir Chris. Will either of them survive to declare their love?
