“I was hoping that this would be in the style of, "I served the King of England" upon the backdrop of the political intrigue that it entailed. But instead, I found this a quriky tail through the eyes of Ludwig Bemelmans, author of "Mathilda" pretty much written in the same style, but without the cartoons. This is not a bad read, but after a long day, you pick this up, and the excess verbosity from someone who is not writing in his native language just puts you asleep.”
