“This is one of the best programmer’s books on my bookshelf. I highly recommend it if you’re straight out college computer science student. It covers more practical principles of programming, including the concept of DRY (Don’t Repeat Yourself), orthogonality, prototyping, tools, testing, and refactoring. Language is basic and easy to understand, and it keeps you interested. Awesome book to have the mindset of a great programmer.”

Nothing new for an experienced programmer but it is worth reading as a confirmation for what you already know. Taking these advices and putting them into practice should indeed be part of your journeyman to master transformation. Not a "must read" but definitely recommended.”

Another great book for those starting out in the world of object-oriented programming and theory. Its not really about that, but it gets you into the culture either way.”

This book is popular not only because of the book's easy writing style but also for the pearls of wisdom that Hunt and Thomas have so eloquently described in this book. IMHO, this book belongs in every programmer's shelf.”
