Qwill's career slump sends him to Mooseville and his aunt's country cottage. But Qwill is a city mouse, and when he samples a little of the local color on a three-hour fishing expedition, his line snags on murder.

- Koko: A seal point Siamese whose full name is Kao K'o-kung, has a taste for fine foods and an appetite for solving murders.
- Yum Yum: A seal point Siamese, Yum Yum is Koko's partner in mayhem and mischief.
