While it is a light read I enjoy reading this collection of books. The books on Qwilleran before he becomes wealthy and moves to Pickax have a harder edge. ”

...well, okay. There was a little bit of character.”
“It's not that I didn't enjoy this book, but it wasn't good enough to motivate me to read the rest of the series.”

Takes place in a more laid-back atmosphere and the writing reflects that while still moving the story along nicely. Nicely unanswered question at the end too. So glad I have the next one ready to go. Yet another nice, light, fun read.”
