“The jazz man is a not a book I would recommend. When a book is titled the jazz man I would expect it to be about music. However, only in a part of the book was about a jazz musician but the pages he was in still taked about Zeke, the main character, more. He also has a band so the jazz man is also a selfish title to put.The jazz man doesn't even seem like a main character in this story. The story is mostly about his family's problems. The story is off track to the title. This is also a thin book with 42 pages. This book is kind of a dissapointment to me.”

One day, a man went in the empty apartment and started to lived there. The boy called him and everyone else calls him 'The Jazz Man'. One night, he wandered alone at night and went to a room to find everyone because everyone was missing in his town. When he opened the door, he found everyone there including the Jazz Man and his parents.”

I enjoyed the language the author used. It was written well and not dumbed down for the audience.
That said, I found the plot lacking. This is a short book that is read in one sitting. Relationshps are not developed and the dream just throws the reader off balance. There doesn't seem to be much of a message here although the pieces are in place for a very rich story.
This is not something I plan to return to.
The illustrations that accompany the book are nice block inks.”
