Again, a Balogh book with a tortured hero who guts it out and a charming heroine who frees him of his anger and hurt. Balogh illustrates the power of parental abuse in a civilized family.

Ah, the name Charity suits the heroine perfectly. Wonderful story. My favarite scene is when Tony finds Charity's letter (the maid gives it to him) ;) it's just fair that he suffers, too :))

A novel that highlights Balogh's ability to use sparing descriptive prose to great effect. Highly recommended to historical romance writers looking to hone their craft.
