- Samis: A prince of the Methuran Empire that seeks to be the Singer of All Songs.
- Xanni: A good-natured, adventurous man a couple years younger than Darrow. He owns a ship named 'Fledgewing', and has an older brother named Tonno.
- Tonno: Xanni's older brother. He is the proud chef of Fledgewing.
- Trout: A young inventor from Mithates who is less than fond of the ocean.
