- Master Gavin: he has this weird love for ellie and he can be really harsh sometimes with his brothes william
- Kamil: Young Muslim who has been adopted by Saladin after his father was murdered by Crusaders. He wants to get revenge for his family; he gets very impatient with Saladin for not fightig the Crusaders.
- Hosanna: A great red horse who is beautiful, fast, and strong. He is like a miracle.
- Thomas De Granville: He is a knight and loyal to King Richard; he has two sons, Gavin and William.
- King Richard: He can be a little bit selfish but is a great king who loves his people and fights for what is right!
