Who knew that partying had a history! I love this book for its unique look at history, and not in a depressing way. Reads like a work of anthropology, but I wouldn't hold that against it.

Again, B. E. has created a masterpiece of historical research of dancing as a way to let off steam for centuries, to the condemnation of dancing, etc., to DEPRESSION in societies in the last centuries. And Now this community of joy is 'dancing' again, at sporting events. Maybe it's just called 'carnivalizing'?
